Pa. man guilty of child porn; one victim was 3 months old
John Jackey Worman of suburban Philadelphia has been convicted on child-pornography charges for abusing or raping children as young as 3 months old. Police found more than 1 million visuals on his computer, including thousands of videos of Worman raping children at their baby-sitter's house.
Worman, 41, of Colwyn, faces a maximum sentence of 15 to 30 years in prison on each of the 50 counts.
Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 18. He has been in custody since February 2006.
The baby sitter, Concetta Jackson of nearby Collingdale, a former girlfriend of Worman's, pleaded guilty this month to manufacturing child pornography. According to the Associated Press, Worman installed cameras in Jackson's bathroom and captured children undressing and showering. He also raped eight children and recorded the assaults.
The jury is to begin deliberating in the case of co-defendant Dorothy Prawdzik. Prosecutors say she is a one-time girlfriend of Worman's who posed children in front of the hidden cameras.
